The turnaround will be executed using a lump sum contracting strategy. This strategy will require the use of Quantity Surveyors to assure the work is executed per the contract. The execution is broken up into blocks and each block will have a lead, both for execution & commercial. The QS in this case will support the execution block lead and report to the commercial block lead.Experience RequirementsThe role of the QS is for a planned turnaround maintenance event which includes the maintenance of typical refinery equipment such as furnaces, heat exchangers and piping. The role requires someone with experience managing contracts and familiarity with typical refinery equipment.    Knowledge of refinery equipment    Maintenance, Project or Turnaround Planning background preferred Contract management and execution proficiency    Proficient in the use of project management tools, understanding of progress reporting and updates    Able to read S-curves, progress reports and earned value    Able to interpret schedule look-ahead reports and validate schedule compliance    Proficient in the use of MS Office products including Excel, Outlook and Word    Must have at least five years' experience in contract management  Must have experience in the maintenance of refinery equipment    Can read, write and speak English language.
